About Southwest Medical Psychology
Welcome! My practice is based on the belief that change is possible in each phase of our lives. Individual psychotherapy is basically an individual seminar on a topic of importance to the person seeking assistance. It is my job to teach it in the most effective manner.
Therapy for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and overeating, is available. Treatment options include the use of behavior modification, relaxation, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as schema-focused cognitive psychotherapy for more enduring issues.
Achieving your physical and mental health-related goals, whether adjusting to a new life after bariatric surgery, learning to live with chronic pain, gently accepting life's final developmental phase, dealing with life stress, depression or anxiety, all these are goals worth pursuing. For the medical or surgical patient, my years as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, as well as my training as a Clinical Psychologist, provide an effective combination of medical knowledge and compassionate psychotherapy.
I answer my own phone and return calls personally. Every effort will be made to return phone calls within 24 hours. However, delays may occur due to unforeseeable circumstances.
